A little bit more drama as we approach the start of training camp: The NFL has released its injury report for the second week in a row.
And with that, we have the latest.
This week, the list of injured players includes:Cornerback Kevin King (shoulder), safety Nate Allen (groin), wide receiver Tarell Brown (knee), safety Mike Jenkins (knees), cornerback Marcus Cooper (kaput), wideout Kenny Britt (foot), linebacker Chris Borland (shin), offensive tackle Marcus Cannon (ankle), running back Jamaal Williams (ankles), tight end Jermaine Gresham (anklet), defensive end/linebacker Tamba Hali (kansas).
That’s right: All of those players are out for the season.
Here’s a look at the injury report:King missed practice on Thursday.
The 49ers said on Wednesday they planned to cut King early in training camp, which would have made him the third player to miss a training camp practice.
But King did not miss practice Thursday.
King has been practicing with his teammates.
On Thursday, the 49ers announced King would not practice this week.
King did not participate in Thursday’s practice.
The 49ers had not yet announced the injury news.
Coach Jim Harbaugh, speaking to reporters, said he didn’t think King would play this week, though he did offer a possible comeback.
“I think if he could come back,” Harbaugh said, “he could.”
King did practice Wednesday.
The injury report was released just days after the 49er practice report was made public.
