Buses will be among the most expensive tickets in Super Bowl 50, with average ticket prices of more than $5,000, up from $2,700 last year, according to a new report.
Ticket prices are expected to top $10,000 on Sunday, with a Super Bowl-themed bus ticket averaging $8,200.
The cheapest Super Bowl ticket is expected to be $3,600.
The report was based on data provided by a group called Ticketmaster, which tracks ticket prices and other events at the games.
Ticketmaster spokesman Greg Smith said the company’s analysis was not meant to be a definitive assessment of ticket prices.
“Our goal is to be as transparent as possible,” Smith said.
“Our goal here is to provide you with the best price on a ticket as quickly as possible.”
Ticket prices at the game typically are based on the market, and some sites use different price-to-demand ratios for each game.
But Smith said that for Super Sunday, the average Super Bowl Ticket will cost about $3.00 more than the average ticket at the Super Bowl last year.
The new report includes information on more than 1,300 Super Bowl tickets sold by Ticketmaster.
The numbers are not yet available for the rest of the games, but Smith said a similar study will be released on Monday.
The report also includes information about tickets purchased at other sporting events, including the NCAA men’s basketball tournament and college football.
Ticket purchases have increased year over year at most major sporting events.
