Fans have been speculating about whether WWE would be returning to the Ring of Honor ring, after the company announced in April that it would be canceling the company’s WWE Network.
The company said that it had “a deal in place with Ring of Light and that the company is committed to the ring,” but fans didn’t seem too interested in the possibility.
That all changed last week, when the WWE tweeted a photo of the ring and the hashtag #WWERingOfLight, a reference to the iconic ring from the original Ring of Pro Wrestling.
A few days later, the company tweeted a new photo of Ring of Lights with the hashtags #WrestlingRingOfLiberty, #WrestleMania and #WetSummer.
Now that fans have had their fill of Ring Of Light and WWE, the next logical step is to see if the company will return to the NXT, which is scheduled to debut on April 14.
It is also possible that WWE will cancel NXT entirely as a whole, according to a new report from WWE.com.
According to the report, WWE is planning to move NXT back to its original date of April 14, which would make it the last live show of the year for the company, leaving fans with a new date to look forward to.
If that happens, the last time WWE made NXT was on April 6, 2019, when WWE’s main event featured WWE Tag Team champions Big Show and Daniel Bryan.
It also could mean that the next WrestleMania is scheduled for May 7, 2021, which matches up with the debut of the new WrestleMania 30.
