More than 3,000 tickets were sold in Mumbai for the opening of the WWE’s “Wrecking Ballet” in the city on Thursday, with the show bringing back memories of WrestleMania 37.
Tickets cost Rs. 2,500 for adults, Rs. 3,500 and Rs. 4,500, while children under the age of 10 can pay Rs. 1,500.
Tickets for the show are being sold in person at the ticket booth, while online sales are underway.
The event will be held in the former St James’ Palace in the heart of Mumbai.
A massive turnout was expected for the event, which will also include concerts by the likes of Lady Gaga, Shakira and Madonna.
Tickets are available in advance online from ticket booths and can be purchased in person.
“Wrestling Ballet,” a collaboration between Indian superstar and Hollywood director Rajkumar Hirani, has been created to help youngsters in Mumbai learn about the sport of wrestling.
“The show will be a chance for kids to learn about wrestling, and I am thrilled that we are able to bring it back to Mumbai,” Hirani told ET.
The movie is a sequel to Hirani’s 2013 blockbuster, “WrestleMania,” which was released in India last year.
The show is expected to have a massive audience in India, and the show will also showcase the talents of the wrestlers, including former WWE champion Triple H.
