Miami Dolphins rookie A-rod has been cleared to return to the lineup for the team’s upcoming home opener.
Article Details:The Miami Dolphins announced on Monday that A-rods return date has been delayed due a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
A-rod sustained the injury on a hit from Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end Mike Mitchell during the first quarter of the Dolphins’ 21-10 win on Sept. 27.
He had surgery in mid-October to repair the ACL and MCL, and has missed the first eight games.
He missed Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts because of the injury.
A news release from the Dolphins said the team expects A-roe to be ready to play Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The team did not release a timetable for A-Rods return.
